Two new eModules have been added to United Fresh Start. You can work through the eModules on your own, or you can convene a group to engage the content using video conferencing. When and where possible, you could also gather in person to view the videos, complete the worksheets and engage in conversation where prompted.
The first new eModule is one of the United Fresh Start “core” modules called Entering a New System. Diane Blanchards facilitates this module, starting off with a clip from “The Vicar of Dibley.”
What You’ll Explore:
- Understanding communities of faith as living systems – 8 videos, 1 worksheet
- Using the JoHari Window to gain insight into your own place within the system
- The Quadrilateral of Evangelism as a tool for understanding your community of faith
- Ways to ensure spiritual care for ministry personnel and lay leaders
The second new module is Family Systems Theory: The Community of Faith as a System. Morar Murray-Hayes facilitates this eModule, drawing on many personal and ministry experiences to illustrate the concepts.
What You’ll Explore:
- An overview family systems theory
- The application of family systems theory to communities of faith
- The importance of self differentiation for leadership
- The importance of being a non-anxious presence in the midst of transition and change
To enrol in these modules, you will need to create a United Fresh Start account (if you don’t have one yet). Just click the My Account tab above. You will find a complete description of the eModules here.
