During a June heatwave, 17 new United Fresh Start facilitators were trained at Five Oaks Centre. This group will provide additional facilitators in Antler River Watershed Regional Council, Horseshoe Falls Regional Council and Shining Waters Regional Council. We are also excited to share that staff from Canadian Shield Regional Council and Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council are able to bring the resources from this program into their judicatories. Finally, we welcomed two members of the Future Directions Committee of Regional Council 15 who have taken the learning and excitement of the United Fresh Start modules back to their regional council. As this was the first in-person training since 2018, participants and faculty leaders were happy to finally be able to be together and learn together.
